Error While You Right-Click on Windows 10

This is a strange error with Windows 10. Here are steps that will fix things in your system.

Disable Shell Extensions

A new shell extension is installed in your system. Sort the list of newly installed shell-extensions in a datewise manner by clicking the Modified Time column head after downloading a freeware program called ShellMenuView or ShellExView.

 

Disable Conflicting Auto-runs

Your system is configured to load several applications on the post-boot interval. Using Startup tab in the Task Manager turn off all third-party startups.

 

Restart Explorer Process

After ending the Windows Explorer process using the Task Manager > More details > Processes tab; reload it again from File > Run new task. Alternatively, use the Run dialog box by pressing Windows Key + R simultaneously.

 

Disinfect your System

Perhaps your computer may be infected by a virus. To get rid of Windows 10 right click error move the following malicious files to Recycle Bin:

  • C:\Users\%userprofile%\AppData\Local\Temp\sdktyxo\sevpnct\wow64.dll
  • C:\$Recycle.Bin\S-1-5-18\$a557dfdef3dddded94da594ffe765ee2\n

In order to view above folders it is important to make hidden files and folders visible and unhide protected operating system files from the View tab in the File Explorer Options dialog, which was earlier known as, Folder Options. Use the Search feature to locate the same.

After deleting the above two files, clear the contents of the Temp subfolder.

 

Disable & Re-enable Newly Installed Driver

The issue may persist due to drive issues. Locate the Device Manager tool using Windows Search or Control Panel, and then disable and re-enable newly installed driver. Make sure hidden drivers are visible from View menu.

 

Re-register DLLs

Here are required commands to un-register and re-register a file named wsftpsi.dll located in the program files directory. Use an elevated CMD.

  • cd “C:\Program Files (x86)\Ipswitch\WS_FTP 12
  • regsvr32 -u “C\Program Files (x86)\Ipswitch\WS_FTP 12\wsftpsi.dll
  • regsvr32 “C\Program Files (x86)\Ipswitch\WS_FTP 12\wsftpsi.dll

After completion, please do restart your PC.
