It is recommended that you scan your PC with RegInOut regularly at least once a day to obtain best results.

What is scheduled scan?

Scheduled scan is a feature which helps you to configure RegInOut to scan your PC for any registry errors on your desired times.

What is registry backup and restore?

Whenever RegInOut repairs the problems from your registry, it creates a backup of removed keys. You can always restore those keys if you think that any key is removed wrongly. You can also remove the stored backups when you think they are no longer needed.

What is automatic repair and shutdown?

Automatic repair and shutdown after repair are the options you can find in options tab. When set they tell RegInOut to repair the problem keys automatically without user interaction when it completes the scan. Shutdown after repairs closes RegInOut after it has finished repairing.
These two options are very useful in combination with scheduled scan option.

What is start on startup option?

This option tells RegInOut to start automatically when windows start.

What is ignore list?

You can also select certain problem registry entries and decide not to repair rather put in an ignore list so that they are not detected again. You can view the ignore list, remove entries from that. Ignore list usage is advised for advanced computer users.

What is Manage startup section?

manage startup option allows a user to manage the start up programs and either enable or disable these programs through the software.

Can I scan custom registry categories?

Yes RegInOut provides the facility to scan only those categories which you want to. On scanner screen you will see check boxes with the registry categories. You can un-check any box this will tell RegInOut not to scan this particular category in next registry scan. RegInOut saves your last category selection settings.

What is Internet Optimizer anyway?

Using this feature you can speed up internet. If your connection is Fast (over 1 mbps) and you are using ADSL2, Fiber Connection, fast cable modem or Satellite connection then Check Fast (first option). When your connection speed is average (1 mbps or lower) and you are using DSL, EDGE, slow cable Modem or Satellite connection then click on Average. And if your connection is slow (128 kbps or lower) and you are using dial-up, ISDN or GPRS connection then select Slow (option 3).

You can also restore your default settings by using Restore Default button.

Is it safe to use Service Manager?

It is absolutely safe to use Service Manager. When you click on Optimize Services button, another Window would appear from where you can select how to manage computer services to speed up PC to its maximum performance. There is an option to revert to an earlier state in case you want to use computer as it was before the optimization.
