Rename Android Phone Photos

Rename Photos in the Phone

Renaming Android photos is pretty simple. Visit the photo gallery and select the image you wish to rename. Tap the image for a few seconds and Click on the Menu option located at the bottom. From there click Rename and a new window will pop-up asking you to insert a new name.

Once you have provided a new name, click OK. Furthermore, if you have multiple photos, you will have to rename them manually.

Rename in Google Photos

Google Photos happens to be an excellent tool for backing up, storing and sharing your photos. However, then again it is designed to save images by different titles. If you wish to rename your Google Photos, follow the steps below.

    • Open the image you wish to rename in Google Photos.
    • Tap the three-dot menu on the left.
  • Select Save to device.

Once the image has downloaded, long press the image but do not open it. Then, tap the three-dot menu and choose Rename. Now, reupload the image to Google Photos. Make sure that you delete the original image located in Google Photos to avoid duplication.
