Integrate with OverDrive Account

As a user of Adobe Digital Edition, you could have an OverDrive account. Integrate your OverDrive account with Adobe Digital Edition as shown below:

  1. If you’ve got an Adobe ID, press Ctrl + Shift + D keys simultaneously. Follow the subsequent prompts and then click Erase Authorization button. This will perform the de-authorization process.
  2. Open Adobe Digital Edition.
  3. Click Help | Authorize Computer.
  4. Set eBook Vendor: OverDrive in the Computer Authorization dialog.
  5. Specify your email id and password. Click Authorize button.

 

Reinstall Adobe Digital Edition

The process of reinstalling the program is given below:

For Windows 8.1/ 8

  1. Press Windows Key + X, select Programs and Features.
  2. This opens up programs list.
  3. Right-click Adobe Digital Edition, select Uninstall.
  4. Download a fresh setup from Adobe and install it on your machine.

For Windows 7/ Vista

  1. Click Start, type Uninstall a program in the Search Box.
  2. Press Enter.
  3. Refer Steps # 2-4 under Windows 8.1/ 8 user’s section.

 

Download Windows Updates

Get the latest Windows updates from the Internet. Here’s how:

For Windows 8.1/ 8

  1. Press Windows Key + X, select Search.
  2. Type “Update” in Search Box. Click Settings icon.
  3. Open the keyword from Search Results.
  4. Check for new updates and download-install them.

For Windows 7/ Vista

  1. Click Start, point to All Programs.
  2. Click Windows Update.
  3. Start checking for updates, download & install them.

 

Restore your PC

System Restore will work if there are issues with your system settings.

For Windows 8.1/ 8

  1. Right-click Computer icon, select Properties.
  2. Click Advanced system settings link.
  3. This opens up a new dialog. Click System Protection tab.
  4. Click System Restore button.

For Windows 7/ Vista

  1. Click Start, type System Restore in the Search Box.
  2. Press Enter.
  3. Follow on-screen instructions.
