Animate Crashes in Windows

Adobe Animate CC sometimes behaves unexpectedly. It crashes and sometimes makes my PC stops answering. And this all happens just because of the problematic preference files.

Preference files? Yes, these files are the real mess. Whenever you’ll load Adobe Animate CC it sets default preference files to run, automatically. Clear them. How? Read on.

Clean and Optimize PC with ST Cleaner

ST Cleaner Download (w/ Verisign Digital Certificate).
Compatible w/ Windows 10/ 8.1/ 8/ 7/ Vista/ XP.

 

First of all, close this application. Use your File Explorer and go to this location:

C:\Users\%userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\Adobe

Okay, now rename “Edge Animate” folder as “Edge Animate_OLD” or simply delete this folder.

Launch Uninstaller using Command-Line

Uninstall Adobe Animate CC. Use this command in an elevated Command Prompt is given in image:

Done? Now restart your PC and reinstall it. Note: The actual file path may vary depending on your installation path.

 

Exclude File from DEP

Use System Properties. Choose to exclude certain processes and programs. Choose again the Executable File. It loads Adobe Animate CC. Not sure? Use the Properties dialog > Shortcut tab > Target box of the Desktop shortcut.

 

Repair Program Installation

Go to Settings. Click System > Apps & Features. Load the list of installed programs. Now you’ll see a textbox. Here you can type and search a program name. Type in “Adobe Animate CC.” Here you go! Now repair program installation.
