Speed Up Games--Learn How to Optimize Your Computer for Faster Gaming

1.Minimum System Requirements are Not Fulfilled


When a game runs on a machine where minimum system requirements are not fulfilled, it may start freezing or run very slow. To speed up games, you must ensure that all the minimum system requirements are fulfilled, including hardware and software components.


Where can I find the minimum system requirements?

The minimum system requirements are often listed in the “ReadMe” document on the installation media of the game. Otherwise search the internet by typing “ System Requirements” in any search engine. If any hardware or software is not installed, then get it.

2.Unsupported Game Features are Enabled


If you have enabled some features of the game that are no longer supported on your machine, then the game may run slow or freeze. To speed up games, make sure that no unsupported features are enabled.

To do so, load the game. Click Settings or similar type of option. Uncheck the game features that are not supported by your operating system. Then save the changes.

3. Registry Junk


When an original file is removed, its registry entries may remain in the registry. These are called broken or junk registry entries that are too responsible for poor game performance.

  • Click Start.

5. Other Programs or Tasks are Running while Playing the Game


When you are playing a game, no other programs or services should be running for improved performance. It may be possible that while you are playing a game, some programs and services are running in the background without your knowledge. To stop them, perform the following steps:

  • Minimize the game temporarily.
  • Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete.
  • Select the option Start Task Manager.
  • From the Applications, Processes and Services tabs, terminate the unnecessary items.
  • Restore the game.
